Pinamalayan is Hit by Typhoon Nona

Dear Pastor Norris and Ma'am Linda,

How are you today? We've not been hearing from you. Hope you're ok.

About us. our town Pinamalayan Oriental Mindoro is devastated by typhoon Nona. Folks said that it's another strong typhoon that hit Mindoro since 30 years ago.  The facility we build and we hope to use by January is also totally destroyed by the typhoon. Some of the money you sent last time was put to it. Now we have to redo building. Yet the Lord is good to us that nobody was harm. He even gave me a lesson on faith that we don't have to go y the naturals of this life but what he can do which of course is supernatural. I found out that I don't have this faith that will honor Him.  I could have asked that our house was not destroyed to stand as a testimony of his protecting power upon His servants.

Let me share with you some photos I got here?
Our house has fallen by the wind.

Our Mission house. The roof and walls are blown by the wind.

The gasoline refilling station nearby.

For now Tucks and heavy equipment from manila has already come to help us speedily restore the electricity, yet they say, it will still take two months to have electricity in our place.

our practical need is sustainable lighting in the house such as solar lamps and material for repair and restoration.

       Please pray for us, pastor.

Love,

Nick and Honey

Aftermath of Typhoon Nona in Pinamalayan

This is just to share some photo that I have taken. Especially on the Pinamalayan Park. The typhoon stroke Mindoro on December 15 Tuesday. Starting 4am and totally calm down by 2pm. That means devastating strong wind sustained for almost ten hours.

Development in the Mission Work

We are happy for the dry ground we have now.  Three truck-loads of gravel was dumped in the floor area of the worship  place.    It was really like a basin during rainy times. (This was on April 2017. Now the flooring is cemented already.)                                                                                                                                               Pinamalayan street  Preaching.  Very encouraging, listeners expressed thanks after the preaching.                       ...

Summer Art Workshop

During the Summer Art Workshop, we saw how the young people actively work through the week, and that is a real blessing to the ministry.  Praise God for using the workshop, we also had new people attending the church. Another activity was the Operation Christmass Child.  It was a joy to see how children are so happy as they open their gifts.
