Church Planting Pre-launch Planning Notes
Sec.1 Why start this new church
- State your calling. How is it that you believed God has worked to bring you to planting this church.
The call was recognized when I felt burdened for my own people, I always am delighted to think of ministering to my hometown. This was first impressed to me as early as when I just got saved on 1985.
- Briefly, state your vision what will this church look like in five years.
The church by the end of the fifth year (That will be May, 2021) is having a regular attendance of not less than 60 people (adult and children). The majority of these people are biblically motivated and seasoned to serve the Lord. On the sixth year, we will recognize these people as firstfruits of the harvest. (Recap at the end of this paper, provides systematic action to accomplish this vision)
- Why is there a need for a new Church in this area?
I could see that within the period of past 30 years, there is not so much happening in this area with regards to meeting the need of the people that can be provided by a church.
Sec.2 Who is your ministry focus group? (Include appropriate demography)
- The group in focus
- The town proper: my old friends, schoolmates, acquaintance, public workers and common people.
- Cacawan: my Jerusalem, where I grew up.
- Macanlig and Puting Tubig (Sta. Isabel): My father’s home place and my relatives.
- Describe the particular need of your community.
The community has a common belief that life is hard economically, people are wishing to afford an affluent life, hence, people tends to indulge in “living-like-rich “when there is an increase in income. They need to find meaning on the true richness of serving the Lord in the church and experience the joy in it.
- Describe the proposed location if necessary.
Cacawan-1 Barrio road, 1km from downtown, 1km Municipal Building, and about 2km from the sea shore. The road leads to the mountain where Puting Tubig is.
- What are some possible names for the church? How will you determine the name?
New Creatures Baptist Church
- Emphasizing individual regeneration by Christ work
- Emphasizing the commitment to KJV1611 Bible
- Verse: IICor. 5:17
Sec.3 What kind of church you are trying to plant?
A. Church Identity
- We are Baptist - Particularly, the Bible Baptist heritage
- Our Bible is the King James Version 1611
- Soul-winner - every member is expected to know and to do soul-winning, as both our passion and our duty. 2Pet.3:9
- Missionary - part of believer's money is for missions, hence, part of church money is for missions.
- Mentor-leadership - the Pastor is always up-front saying, "follow me as I follow Christ "
- Worshipers - our lives purpose is to worship, to honor and to glorify God. And the motive of our service is to bring our lives and the lives of men to a worship that is pleasing to God. Rev. 4:11.
- Good Samaritan - Having the heart for every man regardless of their religious views and practices.
- Second Parents - with regards to home and family, church leadership poses as second parents, hence, acts as an active partner for child rearing and guidance.
B. State and expand your mission statement
To inform every soul within our reach about the gift of salvation, and give them the opportunity to receive it, and see individuals live a life pleasing to God, then duplicate ourselves among them who join the church. That is: teach them, baptize them, and train them to do the same work. That is a daily routine
Vision Statement
A church standing as a witness and a testimony for the Lord, effective for the spiritual welfare of the people, families, community, and the town itself. Helping fellow laborers with the same mission endeavors here and abroad.
The Church in my mind: Settled in a property that is provided by the Lord of not less than 1,000sqm lot area, with school facilities and Bible college. A church of friendly people. Having significant impact and respected in the community. Becomes one of the landmarks in Pinamalayan. Among its members are known in the town: being businessmen, workers, and public servants. The greater majority of adults and young people are soul-winners, teachers and ministry workers. Our children are the focus of nurturing and discipleship. Members are well taught and encourage in tithes and offerings, hence, the church has the capacity to finance its ministries
What style of a church this will be? What model will you use?

- As the Lord Jesus started it alone and lowly. He never tricks or bribes people to follow Him;
- Like the Apostle Paul;
- Like those prophets of old, with regards to material provision.
- Old fashioned gospel
